Crystallinity studies of PEKK and carbon fibre/PEKK composites: A review

نویسندگان

چکیده

Poly(etherketoneketone) (PEKK) is a thermoplastic, part of the poly(aryletherketone) (PAEK) family polymers, with excellent mechanical performance and chemical resistance properties that make it an interesting candidate as matrix for high-performance composites. Developing thorough understanding material paramount in applications, case thermoplastics, crystallinity plays essential role. This review paper covers crystallisation morphology structure PEKK CF/PEKK composites, behaviour kinetics under isothermal dynamic conditions, how these vary across different grades terephthalic/isophthalic ratios. In impact transcrystallinity development at fibre-matrix interface, well carbon fibre inclusions on are discussed. Several models available literature presented The current limitations future directions composites also considered, covering manufacturing techniques such autoclaving, automated tape placement, 3D printing. article draws comparisons to better researched established poly(etheretherketone) (PEEK) whenever relevant, order compliment discussions wherever sparse.

Carbon nanotube reinforced metal matrix composites – a review

This review summarises the research work carried out in the field of carbon nanotube (CNT) metal matrix composites (MMCs). Much research has been undertaken in utilising CNTs as reinforcement for composite material. However, CNT-reinforced MMCs have received the least attention. These composites are being projected for use in structural applications for their high specific strength as well as f...
